GlobalVillageIdiot.net covers the full range of world and roots music, bringing a unique perspective to global sounds. Not only will you discover the best from Mali, Senegal, and Algeria, but also emerging sounds from Denmark, the stars of Tuva, and musicians from around the Pacific. With interviews, special features and reviews, this is a site like no other, where the focus is as much on English folk music as on the desert blues of the Sahara.

We bring you the best, and the most interesting artists, offer introductions to different styles and regions, and search for fresh young talent that will be big in the future.
